Vintage Beswick Cabbage Ware (small chip on bottom)

This vintage earthenware cabbage leaf and tomato dish was produced by John Beswick Ltd. of Longton - one of the Staffordshire potteries. The pottery started production in 1936 right in the middle of the Art Deco period.

Approximate dimensions : 12" x 8"

There is some light age-related crazing on the bottom.

Chip on the bottom (see last photo). The color is vibrant on this delightful piece.

Backstamp in use from 1936. Impressed marks 'No. 8' and painter's mark.
